Donations

Anawim’s main support comes from individual donors. We are also very grateful for the support of the United Way of Greater Victoria, the Victoria Foundation, and the social service clubs and churches who support us. While the gift of grants from these organizations is invaluable, so to are the individual donations from people like you who help us keep food on the plates, hot water for showers, and a warm welcome for Victoria’s neediest people.

Regular donations of goods from merchants include food, household supplies, etc. Professional services rendered by individuals and the participation of volunteers in various programs also contribute to the welfare of our Society.

Please note that having a large walk-in-refrigerator and large freezers, we are able to accept donations of perishable as well as non-perishable food items. Dry food goods as well as maintenance supplies are also gratefully accepted.

Donate Your Car

Donate a Car Canada accepts Vehicle Donations for Anawim Companions Society. Free towing is provided in most areas across Canada, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat, or motorcycle to Anawim Companions Society through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold at auction (depending on its condition, age and location). Donate a Car Canada will look after all the details to make it easy for Anawim Companions Society to benefit.
